Garmain Sat Nav pocket. Working in Japan?
Im go to Japan soon and Im thinking to get a handheld Garmin Nav designed Thu for walking with. Is a handheld Sat Nav work in Japan where they do not have the same address system or even English Charecters writing?
I looked on the Garmin website, but it does not look like they offer maps of Japan for sale separately, so you could use the device for contact, no maps or navigation. Obviously, the GPS devices do not contain Japanese maps of Japan so someone does not do them, but I do not know how you could buy or could be converted into Garmin format. BTW some phones Japanese phones offer GPS with downloadable maps and navigation, in case you can not use your garmin gps, you might want to look in one of these.

Team Teaching English in Japan $127.45 In Japan, the team teaching of English language classes has been a growing phenomenon since the late 1980s. Team teaching typically involves two teachers: a Japanese teacher of English who has a university degree in English or education and a teaching qualification, and an assistant English teacher who is usually an untrained recent university graduate from Britain, the United States, or another country whose citizens are primarily native English speakers. The goal of team teaching is to improve Japanese students English abilities by having a native English speaking assistant in the class as a model of the target language. These assistants are often popular with students, their parents and administrators, primarily because they are seen to provide motivation for language learning. Japanese teachers may also appreciate assistants, especially as coworkers with whom the workload can be shared. However, there are also problems which are sometimes ignored in surfacelevel discussions of team teaching. This book describes the origins team teaching in relation to the growth of English as a lingua franca. Whaling in Japan $82.85 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Whaling in Japan may have begun as early as the 12th century. During the 20th century Japan was heavily involved in commercial whaling until the International Whaling Commission moratorium on commercial whaling. Japanese whaling is currently restricted to hunts conducted by the Institute of Cetacean Research. It is, however, a source of political dispute between pro and antiwhaling countries and organizations. Nations, scientists and environmental organizations opposed to whaling consider the Japanese research program to be unnecessary at best and a thinly disguised commercial whaling operation at worst. Japan maintains the annual whaling is sustainable and necessary for scientific study and management of whale stocks. Japan also argues that objections to whaling are based upon cultural differences and emotional anthropomorphism. Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Timpledon, Miriam T./ Marseken, Susan F.
