Then the Garmin Legend HCx display be changed?
The Garmin Legend HCx appears to be in color. Color screens are so difficult to see outside. Is there a setting on the GPS model that allows high-contrast, or better still black and white display. A type screen which emerges when viewed outside in bright sunlight, I thank you.
Look on page 37 of Manual the owner of your: http://www8.garmin.com/manuals/eTrexLegendHCx_OwnersManual.pdf you can choose from 10 color schemes day and night. If a plan Night looks better in daylight, you can choose "single night". Otherwise get a Garmin monochome only. They consume less energy and contrast much better than a color screen (although less detailed).
