garmin nuvi 200 problem?

I have a Garmin Nuvi 200 for Christmas. After using the screen says "No detailed maps found that support routing. The nüvi can not be used without them "I can not go beyond this screen. I tried service calling client and after waiting half an hour I was told I had to talk about the technology dept. and it would be at least an hour on hold? I intend to take back. It was purchased at Walmart - I never shop there, they sell the shit and it's another example. I suspect that the device was manufactured in China with pirated software and when it is connected to the satellite is in place the template so that it "turned into a pumpkin. You need to install the card into your nüvi before the device can be used for routing. Usually, these come with a CD or download the map of the web. If you have not loaded the cards in the device, it will be useless. Follow the instructions included with the nüvi. Basically it's just plug the USB cable to your PC, the other end your nüvi and charge cards. Then you point to your card, either on CD or downloaded from Garmin. GPS devices are great, if the few minutes spent their implementation is well worth it.
